Fall BBQ Shindig

Before the winter comes and we move into our new house, which has no back patio at all, we invited friends over from Trapper's work and from our new ward for a little barbecue. We had burgers, hot dogs, and some teriyaki chicken--all of which were grilled by my genius of a husband, Trapper. I love his hamburgers. We also had a few other delicious things that our guests brought: pasta salad, chips, cheese from the Amish country (very interesting), chocolate cake, ice cream....and I think that was it. One of Trapper's co-workers/friend brought us the cheese, and one of the cheeses was very spicy. I didn't know it exactly until I shoved a piece in my mouth. Then, it proceeded to burn a hole in my throat!! I thought I was going to choke. I know I probably looked stupid running around trying to get myself a cup of water. I felt supid.

I should've taken more pictures, especially of the individual couples and groups that came, but I didn't think of these things until after it was over. We had a good time though. It was great way to make new friends and strengthen existing friendships.

This is a picture of Braden and his buddy Maguire. It was so funny having them sit next to each other because, though you may not believe me, Maguire is actually a day YOUNGER than Braden! And I thought Braden was kind of chunky. Maguire is so cute with all his rolls and chunky thighs! I wanted to take a bite out of 'em.

Yummy Yummy Chocolate Cake!! It was super good.

Jackson was pretty shy with so many people he'd never seen before. The little kids and single adult girls found a way to break him out of that shell though! They all grabbed a paper plate and started dancing in the living room to Pandora.
