Okay, well, I'm just so happy it's working out. Now if only I could get him to not need the binkie at night. That would be splendid. Here are some pictures of this past week of my little man. He's growing up too fast. : ( I'll miss his sweet innocence and hugs and kisses.

Brief update on JT"s sleep
It's been 6 days since we started the "Sleep Lady Shuffle" and I can testify that it makes a mommy feeling less stressed and guilty. I didn't look forward to letting Jackson cry it out and leaving his room. It hurts my heart! But with this approach, I feel like we're both getting what we want. He wants my presence and comfort, and I want him to fall asleep with confidence that I won't ever be far away from him. Last night, we moved the rocking chair next to the door to indicate that we're slowly moving out. And it was Trapper's night. I kept telling Trapper that he would probably cry a lot because I won't be in there. I was really surprised when I didn't hear a peep out of Jackson! I didn't hear anything! I was in our bathroom just washing my hands when Trapper crawled into the bedroom and snuck up on me! hehe He likes to do that every now and then. Anyway, we've learned that to help himself fall asleep, Jackson likes to roll over on his belly and stick his butt in the air, and then he'll start rubbing the mattress. Or he'll roll around and stick his little arms through the crib. It's kind of funny to watch.

That is FANTASTIC! Ya'll are doing a GREAT job. One things at a time-- don't worry about the binkie for now. I know some disagree but I think it's a wonderful thing. My kids are totally binkie babies & you know what? It's alright with me. We'll worry about getting rid of it later.
Wahoo! What is it with husbands trying to scare us all the time? Seriously Chad does it all the stinking time!
I wouldnt' worry about the binky too much. Trey gradually just needed it less and less. I think he was around 2? All I remember is we were able to have a conversation about how we don't need binkies anymore. If Jackson is potty trained and still sucking on the thing then I'd be a little concerned! Good luck with everything!
That is good that it is working out. The more indepentant he is when #2 comes the easier it will be on you to deal with it all. It is sad to have your baby grown up but pretty soon you will have another baby and it will all start over again.
Hey! This is Andrea (Steadman)Seeman. I lived in the dorms the same time as you and then Randall and I were in your married ward for a little bit. I found your blog through Mari's blog :) We have a son that is 9 months old and I was excited to read your post because we have been having the SAME sleep problems! I'm going to go check that book out!! We have a blog: randallandreafamily.blogspot.com
Your little guy is SO cute and you look adorable pregnant!!
what a beautiful family! Jackson looks so cute in his little outfit!
It's so hard to let them cry, huh?! We had to train Hunter way early and it does just break a mom's heart! But it's worth it!
