Friends Gather Near to Us Once More

When we moved to Provo, Utah, we moved away from some of the best friends we've ever had....or well, at least for me, they were the best ever. There are still days when I get "homesick" for them. We're so lucky to be near the Salt Lake City area though, because if anyone ever needs a place to stay when they visit, we can offer them shelter and fun.

Our friends, Connell & Laura Petterson flew out here to be with family, but they stayed with us for a few days first. Woohoo!! Back in Ohio, we used to have them over A LOT. We'd swap kids for dates, and on the nights when Laura and Connell would go on a date, we'd keep them around til almost midnight sometimes to play Settlers or Dominion. We had some really GREAT times. : )

On their visit to Provo, we went out to Winger's to eat. We actually ate out quite a bit. Our favorite place was a little Drive-In off of 500 W. It had the best scones and corn dogs. Yumm...

The popcorn was a big hit for the kids. It's so irresistible.

Our handsome husbands in green. They must think a like, 'cause they both married really amazing women. ; )

Aren't Hannah and Braden adorable? They had a blast together. I've told Laura we need to arrange a marriage or a first date, at least. haha

In the Riverwoods town center, we got to see Christmas lights, hear beautiful music, and sit on Santa's lap!

She's a reindeer! hehe

This is the line for seeing Santa. It wasn't huge, thank goodness.

Jackson asked Santa for a yellow remote-controlled car for Christmas.

Braden asked for a firetruck and candy.

Jackson hasn't been feeling so well this last week. He's developed a cough, so after about an hour, he was tired and ready to go home. So we said goodnight to the lights and went home. After putting the kids to bed (or rather to play in the bedroom until they fall asleep), we stayed up playing games and reminiscing on the good ole times.
