What we've been up to...

We're pretty lucky to have gotten where we are, 'cause about five doors away is an instant friend! Trapper's long-time buddy, Greg is in the MBA program as well, so he and his wife and kids live in the same apartment complex as us. The boys love playing with their son, Hunter. I also get to hang out with Carlin on nights when MBASA (the spouse association) gets together. So even though Trapper's gone all the time, we're not bored at all. We've found some really fun parks, and we'e taken a couple of trips to Thanksgiving Point to see the animal farm and the dinosaur museum. Jackson, Trapper and I are also involved in sports! Trapper's been playing ultimate frisbee and soccer. I joined a flag football team with some MBASA girls, and Jackson's been playing soccer with other 3 and 4 year old kids. He does great too! In the beginning, he didn't want to do it, but he saw how fun it looked kicking the balls into a net, so he decided to give it a try. I'm really proud of him.

It was fun to watch all the little kids chase after the ball. Jackson was able to kick it a couple of times, and he ran the whole time. He never stopped and whined. I'm proud of him for working so hard. After soccer, I took the boys out for ice cream.

Glad you guys are getting settled in. That's crazy you're so close to Greg. Sounds like you're having fun and making the most of going back to school.
