Gymnastics for Jackson

When we moved into Olmsted Falls, we received a bunch of "Our Town" certificates for free stuff. One of them was for a free month of gymnastics or dance class. I thought that it would be a super fun idea to get Jackson involved. I knew he'd love it. On Thursday, we went to the class at 6pm. I wanted Trapper to be able to come too. Good thing he did, 'cause I didn't realize how involved I would be. The class is for 18 months to 3 years, so the parents are able to stay with their child and help them. Jackson was pretty nervous through the first part. He wanted me to hold him and started crying when I wouldn't. Eventually, he stopped and joined in the fun.
We ran around and jumped and learned how to stretch. The teacher taught us how to point and flex our feet and what a "pike" and "straddle" is.

He loved walking the balance beam and hanging from the monkey bars.

One of the last things he did was swing on some rings.

Oh, and did I mention that he was the only boy in his class? All the girls were wearing their cute leotards, but Jackson wore a t-shirt and shorts. I'm proud of my little man to having the courage to try something new.

What a stud! Annabelle starts gymnastics this week and she is excited. I hope she has as much fun as Jackson looks like he did!
