What do you buy for a one year old?

Braden's birthday is on Wednesday and we are not sure what to buy him. We've bought him clothes, and we'll probably get a carseat, even though he isn't even 20 lbs. yet, but we can't think of anything else. Plus, whatever we get him will have to be for Jackson as well. I thought of a slide, but we could be moving very soon, so we can't do anything too big. I thought of a sandbox....but that's still too big for moving. Then I thought of a baby pool. That could be fun and inflatable. We need suggestions though! Oh, and they already have ENOUGH toys as it is....I've had to remove a whole tote load down to the basement. So, think functional.

We just bought an inflatable pool from Toys-R-Us that the kids LOVE. They spend hours in it. Of course, they love baths, so if yours do, I highly recommend it. And it folds us nice and small.

i 2nd the pool idea..it is so fun and can be deflated.
BTW, we should have a joint party for the boys..since they are only a day apart! ;) Let me know what you think..
Also, what do you mean you may be moving very soon..??!

What don't you buy for a one year old? That's my problem! But I do understand when kids have SO many toys and it's definitely no fun to move them all. But I'd give a "yay" for the pool. Every little kid needs a pool. Or what about a swing? We just bought one for the girls. I think they're called a toddler swing. You can hang it from a tree, or a bar, or many different places. Outside toys are always good because you don't have to clutter the inside of your house with them.

we always do at least a book and fun treats that they like if it is a cereal they like or treats. Then it doesn't clutter up the house.
