Get to Know Your Neighbors

Soon after I posted about my situation, Braden woke up. It was a SHORT nap. I hate it when he does that. However, I figured this would help me in my quest for an egg. People are more inclined to help you out when there's a baby involved. haha How could you resist such a face? We took this picture today before church. All the boys wearing their handsome ties.

Anyway, we have a neighbor who lives behind us and our yards are joined, so we see her every now then. I've never talked to her though. As Braden and I were inside watching television, I noticed she was working on her garden, so we went outside to ask her for an egg. I'm so glad I did, 'cause she's a sweet lady. Her name's Peggy and she loves plants and loves to work out the yard. We talked about her garden and the things she was planting. I took a home gardening course in school, so I felt like we had something in common. I'm excited to see how her tomatoes grow now. : ) She was also more than willing to give us an egg. I told her that we'd bring her some pound cake for her generosity. I don't think I would have ever talked to her if not for that missing egg. Sometimes the Lord places little annoyances in our lives to push us to learn something new, and I'm grateful for that....If maybe not at first. : )
