Sick Day for JT

Jackson and Braden have had runny noses for awhile now. I've even had some trouble and Trapper's just recently started having congestion as well. I attributed it to being allergies with the seasons changing, but darn it, I was wrong. Jackson came down with a fever Monday night and was completely miserable. So yesterday, I built him a fort so he could take refuge when he felt tired and wanted to lay down. He likes to lay on the couch, and that was problem because I needed to put things on the couch to keep the blanket covering on top. So the couch was out of the question. I put a really soft comforter down on the floor with pillows to compensate though. I thought we'd have a blast with it, but I don't think he really understood the purpose of it. It hardly got any use at all. A few times I got in and read some books with him, and we ate some snacks in it and watched a movie. We learned that three's a crowd though. Braden doesn't like to sit still, and he kept wanting to attack Jackson or pull things down, so we had to ban him from the fort...many times. haha Most of the day, Jackson laid on the couch with this pillow and blanket. The poor kid wasn't able to breathe at all; hence, his mouth is slightly open in the picture above.

Jackson's doing better today. I worried about him all night though. I think I woke up ever half hour wondering if he was crying or needed me. I went in and checked on him at one point and he was talking in his sleep, waving his arm and saying, "No..." I'm not sure what that was all about, but it was kind of funny. Today he's still pretty tired and his nose is extremely runny, but he seems to have a little more energy. Now I'm worried about Braden 'cause I caught him with Jackson's binky in his mouth this morning. GRR... I love how it just goes from one person to the next and never leaving the house completely. We're gonna do our best to keep it contained though and do lots of cuddling until it's over. : )

I gave up trying to keep it from spreading to the others in the family! lol
Sounds and looks like you took good care of Jackson while he was sick.
These pictures made me laugh because I think we have the same couch and we have the same blue striped comforter!

That's the only good part about sick kids....extra cuddle time. My girls are not very snuggly at all except when they are sick. So I take full advantage of it!

I hope your sickness goes away fast. We had it for about two month. It went from one person and then the other. It was so hard to fight and so frustrating.
