"Dear John" and a Group of Noisy Broads

Last night, the book club girls and I went out to see "Dear John." I have to say it was pretty good movie. Very different from the book, but I ended up liking it better than the book. Also, it was so funny being in that theater with so many teenage girls who were all there to see Channing Tatum take his shirt off. And then when we older women can't control our talking and giggling, it irritated those young girls. But what can they do? They'd just turn and look at us in a bad way. Oh well. We're older and wiser. I could take 'em any day. ; ) In a way, I felt bad for ruining their movie experience 'cause that's one reason I hate going to the movies these days. I usually end up sitting near a bunch of older women who can't keep their voices down!! It drives me nuts! So...I have turned into my worst nightmare. Oh well. I'll admit it. It was fun. A movie comes to mind just now. Fried Green Tomatoes. The part where Kathy Bates rams her car into another car in a parking lot on purpose? Know that scene y'all? The two young girls, who's car got smashed, came out and called her names, but she just smiled and said, "Face it girls, I'm older, and I've got insurance." Or something like that. I love that, though! And maybe that's why I enjoyed myself a little too much making a ruckus at the movies.
