Duh-ba Duh-ba Day

Jackson hasn't quite figured out how to say "Mama," so instead he calls me "duh-ba duh-ba." He can say Dada, but we're still working on mom. Anyway, this is just a recap of my mother's day. It kind of begins on Saturday afternoon. I wanted to go do a tour at the Glenwood Springs hospital while Trapper had a day off, so we did that, and it was nice. It had a homey feel to it. The daddy's bed is slightly bigger than the one my mom had to sleep on back in Houston. The whole birthing center is on the first floor as soon as you walk into the hospital. I really liked that. The only thing that wasn't as great is after labor/delivery, you change rooms. In Houston, I didn't have to change rooms at all. Oh well. I'm sure it'll be no big deal. It would've been nice though.

After our quick tour, we ate out at Chili's. I was craving a chocolate shake all day, and THANKFULLY they had one. And MAN IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed sucking down that cold chocolate ice cream. It was also topped with whip cream and chocolate sprinkles. Nice addition. Definitely made my day. If you haven't had one yet, I totally recommend it.

When we got home, Trapper said that he and Jackson had something to do, so they locked themselves in the bedroom and kept to themselves for about half an hour. Trapper said it was for my mother's day gift and that I'd find out the next morning. So, the next morning finally came. Trapper let me sleep in til 8, but I was pretty much ready since 7:30. Sleeping is not as comfortable right now. Anyway, Jackson came in with a card and gave it to me. : ) I finally figured out what had been going on so secretly in the bedroom the night before.

I think you get the idea. haha They obviously had a good time putting this together.

Trapper surprised me with a completely unexpected gift. It was something we'd all enjoy, he said. It's called a Roku. It's a box that we can hook up to the t.v. and to our netflix account online, and then it streamlines movies and tv shows and other stuff on to our tv. So, now, anything that is available for "instant watching" on netflix, I can watch it on our tv! One of my favorite shows is Law and Order: SVU, but I never get to watch it 'cause it comes on at 9 when we're getting ready for bed. But with this, I can watch all of the past seasons and episodes I've never seen! Woohoo! I'm super excited. I can also turn on a kiddie show for Jackson or a fitness video for me! Anyway, I thought it was a cool gift. OH and by the way, Trapper, THANKYOU so much for your sweet words. : ) You're the best husband and father I could have ever hoped for, and that makes me want to be better for you. I love being your wife and the mother of our boys.
