Rexburg/Utah trip

Last Wednesday, we packed up and drove out to Utah and left Jackson with Bev and Kim for a two day get-away in Rexburg. It was mostly just a get-away from Jackson, because Trapper had to go to a career fair and other meetings at BYU-Idaho. We got to enjoy the peaceful nights and sleep in though. And we were both too exhausted each night to really make it a "get-away." Sleep is wonderful. While we were there, I was able to go to the temple for the first time in AWHILE. Walking into the temple, I was having a hard time keeping my dress down because of all the crazy wind. I have not missed that part of Rexburg. But inside the temple it's so quiet and calm. I got there 45 minutes early and was the first person into the chapel. Talk about peaceful and reverent. The spirit was so strong and I felt so much happiness and peace just sitting there.

I also got to hang out with the girls: Shellie Wininger, Megan Yates and Alayna Hawkins. We went out to Craigo's and had the buffet. Yummy. I love pizza. But the fun was short lived since everyone had to go back to classes or work. So I just went back to the hotel and chilled until Trapper came back. That night we ate out at Red Robin's in IF with his buddy, Jeff and Jeff's girlfriend Julie.

Back in Tremonton, it was so fun to see Jackson. I hadn't missed the little booger at all, but I knew that as soon as I saw him I'd be kissing and hugging that kid all over! During our stay in Tremonton, Trapper went shooting with the boys. He hasn't had much time to really enjoy his pistol...the one he's been wanting since before we got married. Poor guy. We also went to the Logan temple together and then went out to eat with Greg and Carlin Pickett. We ate at Firehouse Pizzeria. SO good. And their dessert Fh'oozie is MOUTHWATERING good. If you ever see one, go eat there! After dinner, we went back to the Pickett's and played Settlers of Catan and Rook. Fun times! One day you two, Greg and Carlin, we will redeem ourselves on Rook. You just wait. Even if we do have to play it your weird way. : ) hehe
