One year ago, ....well and two days, I was in the hospital waiting for the little guy to come out and meet us.
January 7, 2008 at 2:55am, Jackson finally arrived!! We were so excited, especially since he came out looking like his daddy. : )
Home finally! What a cutie and SO SMALL!
January 6, 2009. We had to celebrate his birthday the day before because I had mutual the night after, unfortunately. But like he's gonna care. He had no idea what was going on anyway!
Josh and Sally and Annabelle got him a tool set. He LOVES that thing. He carries his tools everywhere he goes now. Thanks y'all!
He even liked the goggles. He's definitely all boy.
Grandma and Grandpa Yates got him a fun water toy. Nana and Papaw Street got him a toy vacuum, but we were running around doing so many things, I didn't have time to pick it up for them. Sorry! We're doing it today!! : ) And Mommy and Daddy got him a booster seat which we just found out today that he can ride in it facing the front! Yeah! Let's hope that makes the traveling a little easier.
He was pretty upset that we took his clothes off, but once he saw that chocolate cupcake he was forgiving. hehe And boy did he LOVE it.
As you can see. He eventually ate the whole thing. See the hand on the left? He kept a good grasp on some cupcake in that hand the entire time he ate the cupcake. It's like he forgot he had it there, even when he was looking for more.
But of course, some of it ended up on him. haha We had quite a mess to clean up after. But it was worth it!

It was so fun to watch him demolish that cupcake. And I still laugh about him wearing those goggles and liking it!
That sounds so fun. The first birthday is such a huge thing I think more for the mom then for anyone else. That is so fun that he got all messy. I wanted Reve to do that but he didn't like getting sticky from the frosting.
