My First Mother's Day

I had such a good Mother's Day. None of us really got that much sleep since Jackson hasn't been feeling too well lately, but somehow we're able to get through another day. It's weird how I can go for days and days without more than 3 or 4 hours of sleep and still be able to function pretty well!! My memory may be alittle shot but that's normal anyway. OH and by the way, Sally, my hair is started to fall out by the clumps. It started about a week ago and it hasn't stopped yet. *sigh* I think it all started after I stopped taking prenatal vitamins. Just wanted to tell ya that. haha OKAY, anyway, the night before Mother's Day, the only way we were going to get some sleep was if Jackson and I slept in the same bed together, but all three of us in one bed is too much. So Trapper slept in Jackson's room, while me and JT took the big bed. Then at around 6, Trapper took Jackson so I could get some sleep. Sleeping with a baby who has to be touching you, whether it's kicking you or hitting you in the face, is not good sleep. Finally around 9, Trapper and Jackson came into the bathroom bearing Mother's Day gifts. It was the cutest sight EVER! I HAD to take a picture of it.

The card Jackson is holding was really a card from him! hehe Well, sort of. Trapper wrote a note in it speaking from Jackson's voice and it was signed Jackson. It was really sweet. Trapper not only made me breakfast in bed, but he also let me buy a couple of shorts for this summer and some shirts. It was a very successful shopping trip. Trapper's actually a really great person to shop with. He helps me browse for clothes and then he gives me feedback about how it looks on me. Stuff like that. Then on Sunday, he presented me with a box of Russell Stover's chocolates. YUMMY. I love chocolate. Here's another reason to like being a mother. It gives me another holiday to look forward to.

I'm sorry about the hair. I'm tellin' ya, it's just another one of those perks of motherhood! :) Jackson looks so cute carrying the card. What a sweetheart. I hope his appointment went well today and you can start to get some more sleep!

That picture of Jackson is adorable. I love that Trapper had him hold the card. Oh, and be grateful you have a good husband to shop with...Colby and I have realized lately that we both shop better separately. I've even stopped buying him stuff, he'll go out by himself and get it.

Oh and I'm amazed you can get by on 3 or 4 hours of sleep. That's why mom's get crazy and can't remember anything.

Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's day...for a wonderful mom!
