So Happy Together

As the boys get older, they play so much more, and they are each other's best friend. It's fun to watch them enjoy each other's company. As best friends, though, they fight quite a bit. Over toys, over food, drinks, books, etc., etc!! It gets ridiculous as times. "Mommy! Jackson (or Braden) said 'Hee hee! Ha ha!'" I'm like, "Really? Is that it?" Sometimes I want to say, "Well, just clock him in the face if he does it again." But that wouldn't solve anything! I'd be a terrible mother! haha On the other hand, they really care about each other. When one of them gets hurt, the other will come around and make a silly face to make them laugh. It usually doesn't work, but it's the thought that counts. Anyway, today the boys have been pretty sweet. I took the boys outside in the garage so I could clean out the car. While we were out there, Jackson took one of his tricycles and started to go down the driveway with it. He didn't look to see if any cars were coming, nor did he inform me of what he was doing. So I yelled for him to stop! I was afraid a car would be coming down the road that very second. We live on a really quiet road in our neighborhood. It hardly gets any traffic, but still.... Well, thankfully, he stopped. There weren't any cars coming, but I'm glad he listened to me. When I got to him, he was crying. I guess, in the act of stopping, his toe got underneath the peddle or wheel or something and got scraped. We came inside and washed his feet and put some ointment on it. He hates band-aids, so that was out of the question. After being inside for awhile and making sure he was all right, I decided to go back outside and finish the car. I turned "Wow Wow Wubzy" on for the kids and left them on the couch sitting next to each other sharing a blanket. Actually, by the time I got to the car, the show was almost over. I had about 5 minutes before they'd come running outside to get me. I finished the car as quick as I could and went inside to see if they were all right. It was very quiet and I knew the show was off, but what had happened to the boys? I thought maybe they were playing hide and seek together or something. They love to hide when Daddy comes home. But that was not the case! I guess in that five minutes that I was outside, they were so exhausted that they couldn't hold their eyes open any longer! It was such a cute sight to see that I had to take a picture.
