What's worse than coming down with a sickness as a mother? I'll tell you what! Bruising your tailbone on a dang leggo! lol It sounds HILARIOUS everytime I say it. I feel like an idiot though. lol Okay, enough with the "lol."
I'm pretty sure I've caught some sinus infection from my kids. Love it. At least my kids are okay though, right? I'd much rather be sick myself than have sick kids. ANY DAY. Hearing them laugh and play while my head hurts is the best medicine ever. I can totally handle it.
Earlier this morning, while trying to get my head out of the fog and blowing my nose silly, I went to change Braden's diaper. I absentmindedly kicked a yellow leggo to the side so I could sit down. When I sat back on to my tush, I was surprised by something very hard on my tailbone and then came a POP! I'm not sure what that pop was, but I looked at the leggo as I screeched out in pain thinking that maybe the leggo bent in half or something. Nope. lol Yeah right. It was much too sturdy for bending. Anyway, I don't want to think about that anymore. All I know is that it hurt. A lot. So, all day now, I've been catering to my bruised booty. I can't bend over very well and I have to sit so very delicately or I'll get the shock of my life.
What's worse is that with every hour, the discomfort seems to get just a little bit worse. It might all be up in my head, but I'm taking it easy for now. Anyone want to share any embarrassing hurt stories they'd like to share?? : )
Lesson I've learned from all this: Watch out for the stray leggos in your life. Just when you think you've kicked it out of harm's way, it comes out of nowhere to bite you in the rear.

Love your moral! Sorry you are sick and sorry about your poor tail bone. Somehow, don't know how, I broke mine 3 weeks before Dallin was born. I think I broke it with a coughing fit. For 2 weeks I couldn't sit, had to lay on my side. I was glad when I finally got the epidural. And I think Aunt Bev broke hers a couple of weeks before Hayley was born.
Hope yours feels better soon.
OH SUZY! I am so sorry! Do you need my donut? I have 2 kinds.. ;) Yes, you could say that I have had a few experiences with the tailbone...and the groin muscle and torticollis in the neck...yes, I know pain. Hope you feel better soon!
I broke my tailbone after falling on ice... for the 2nd time. I think the first time bruised it & my bum just couldn't take the 2nd fall. It hurts REALLY bad. Do get a donut to sit on. You'll feel like a nerd but it does help!
Ouch!
that is no fun. Marshall and I were talking about getting the kids some legos haha maybe not now. I am sorry for your bumbum. I hope it feels better soon.
haha, good thing we don't have legos. I have been hurt by children's toys and I'm sure we haven't seen the end of it. I had Kylee in the tub with me while I was showering. Which I don't usually do in a tub b/c we have a regular shower but we were in a hotel. Anyway, I bent down to wash her and came back up to hit my bum on the faucet. I had a huge gash and bruise....and actually still have the scar. It happened 3mo's ago but thankfully doesn't hurt anymore. Our poor bums! :)
LOL! :)
