Playground Scare

I was just wondering, but do most children eventually end up with little scars or one big scar on their foreheads before they reach the age of 3? I've seen lots of kids Jackson's age with one and it makes me laugh, 'cause I'm pretty sure Jackson and Braden bang their heads on stuff at least 20 times a day. I'm glad God put extra protection in the forehead just for this reason.

Never again will I attempt to go to the playground with two kids BY MYSELF. Okay....."Never" is a strong word. ............I won't be doing it anytime soon.....FOR AWHILE, at least. Braden got away from me on some playground equipment. I ran around trying to get to him as fast as I could, all the while smiling and coaxing him to stay in one place. He thought it was funny....until he fell down some steps. Well, it was more like a face plant slide on the steps. And what's up with all the uncaring parents near by??!! As I'm assessing the situation with Braden and freaking out about the GINORMOUS, RHINOCEROUS bump on his head and the bloody nose, and he's crying uncontrollably, all the other parents are acting as if I was invisible. I'm sorry, but what morons! Harsh.....I know....and I should let it go. It was really my fault for not keeping a better hold of my child, but still....nobody cared to even ask if everything was okay?? As I'm carrying Braden to the car and trying to keep Jackson on my tail, I wanted to yell out to the callous and heartless idiots , "No, no!! I'm okay! Everything's fine! Don't worry about me or my bleeding child! No big deal! Go back to your swings and your sand boxes!! Enjoy your frivolity and merriment while I freak out!!!"

He didn't need to go to the ER, but for awhile as I drove around trying to find someone I knew to give me a second opinion, I was sure that I had killed my baby for stupidity. I'm okay now. And Braden's better too. He actually didn't cry that much. In fact, as soon as I pulled up the camera to take a picture of the bump, he grinned from ear to ear like he was having the best time ever.

And this is a shot of how large the bump is. It's fuzzy, but that's my camera's fault. You can at least see how humongous this thing is. It just looks abnormal. Like Quasi Modo or something.

That is quite the bump! I'm sure he won't have any lasting effects though. :)

Oh, sad :( It'll heal faster than you think.

I would have helped you. Seriously. We can go to the playground together next time, k?

That does look like a big bump! I remember when Melissa got one almost exactly like that. I was home alone with her (We were 8-12 yrs or so) and she ran into a wall. Those bumps can spring up in a matter of seconds, can't they? Sorry you had such a rough time.
