Hotel stays and Far West, Missouri

The kids did pretty well in the hotels. Here's Jackson reading his Book of Mormon with Grandma and getting ready for bed.

The nerds at their computers. HA! I love the double chin that Ashley's pulling.

This was Braden's bed every night. He slept very well!

Jackson was always a goofball when we crashed somewhere for the night. He was just FULL of energy! He also has a weird fettish with hats.

Far West temple site

The site is next to a beautiful pasture. The sunset was BEAUTIFUL.

What a cute-ster.

Blowing bubbles

Jackson smelling the flowers

Isn't he a doll??!! (He has a scar on his head from falling down.)

That's the visiting center. It was closed by the time we got there.

Okay, so after our little trip to Far West, we started to get back into the cars. We had the Civic and the Mazda. The kids and Trapper and I usually rode in the Mazda, but if they were fussy, we needed to take a break. So we'd switch cars with Bev and Ashley and let them deal with the crankiness. haha Well, on the way out to Far West, the kids cried and cried. We wanted the trip back to be peaceful, so we started to switch cars. However, somehow, Ashley LOCKED the Civic keys in the car, so we were stranded for a couple of hours. Trapper took the Mazda and drove to the nearest house to get a hanger to unlock the car, while we kept Jackson busy playing in the parking lot. Braden was screaming and crying for who knows what reason, so we were passing him around trying to keep him calm. Then, we all stood around outside watching the sun disappear over the trees as Trapper desperately struggled to open the door without damaging his car. I didn't think we were going to make it out of there before midnight. Of course, with that negative attitude, we probably wouldn't have if somebody else hadn't been praying for success. Next time, I'll remember to pray. It was music to my ears when Trapper announced that he got it unlocked. Hurray!!
