4th of July Fun

Over the 4th of July weekend, Trapper's family and grandparents came to visit for Braden's blessing. We hung out over at Josh & Sally's mostly and played outside with the kids or sat in the shade and relaxed. Even though it was a total blast, I felt like I was running around the whole time dealing with Jackson or breastfeeding Braden. Every few hours I had to hide myself in the master bedroom and feed Braden, and sometimes the whole process took an hour! So, occasionally, I missed out on the fun. For the 4th, we didn't really do anything too special except play games and enjoy good food, and then when night came, we went outside to watch fireworks all around us. It was cool! Jackson really liked it and would say "Whee!" The police were having a good time as well with all the driving around they had to do trying to catch people illegally shooting off fireworks.
Our hangout spot for the weekend. hehe Josh made a teepee in the background for the kids.

All the cousins together. Annabelle did a good job holding Braden.

Grandma and Jackson building blocks.

Jackson had a chocolate chip cookie. You can see the green evidence on his sweet little face.

Aunt Hayley bonding with her nephew : )

Braden's blessing day was memorable... First, the bishop forgot about the blessing until after the sacrament had been passed. Then Braden cried during the whole blessing. He sounded like an angry cat. haha And then after sacrament meeting, the bishop said we had to do it again because Trapper didn't say a few very important words. Oh well. After the meeting, both boys were VERY fussy. It was ridiculous. Sometimes Trapper and I just look at eachother and make these humongous sighs like, "Sheesh! Is this seriously happening?" By the time family left and we headed home, Trapper and I were exhausted and just wanted some peace and quiet. But of course, that was wishful thinking. The adventures of parenting just never end! It's like the commercial for Pringles. Once you pop, the fun don't stop. Am I right or am I right?

I just love how much Annabelle loves Braden. It sure was fun to be able to have everyone here for his special weekend.

I'm so jealous! I wish I could have been there but I'm glad I at least got to hear about it here. Thanks!

looks like you had a fun time with the family. I hope the family of 4 is doing well (when the camera isn't out.) Suzy you are looking really good for just having #2. I hope the packing and moving is going well. When is it that you go?
