Trip to Idaho and Utah

I'm going to try and keep this short. The trip to Idaho was SOOOO much better than last time. Sally let us borrow their portable DVD player and Jackson just watched "Baby Signing Time" all the way up there. OF course he slept some, but only two hours. It was a success. In Idaho, Trapper did his thing (Job fair and interviewing) while JT and I went shopping and met up with some friends. It was fun, but I couldn't wait to go down to Tremonton and let all my family babysitters play with Jackson. I needed a break.
Unfortunately, after the weekend in Tremonton, Trapper had to go out to Boise for a training thing. He was gone all week until Halloween. I hate it when he leaves. So all week, we hung out with Bev and Hayley and played. If you're wondering what JT was for Halloween, I, under the tutelage of a creative genius, Bev, sewed together a Pop-eye costume. He was SO cute!!!

Other things we did during the week were shopping, watching movies, reading books, lots of naps, and raking the leaves. That was fun. The yard was covered in gold leaves. Me and Bev got out there and tackled them all! We had...I think 3 huge piles. We tried to get Jackson to jump around in them, but he didn't like it. He liked riding around in the wheel barrel though! The very next day, after all that work though, the yard was full of leaves again. It seriously looked as if we had never even raked it. The nerve of those trees!

I'm skipping a bunch of stuff, but I'm trying to finish before Jackson starts his tantrum. The kid is teething AGAIN. *sigh* The last night we were in Tremonton, we hung out with Greg and Carlin. Greg is Trapper's best friend. We ate out at Ruby Tuesdays and then came back to Bev and Kim's and played "Settlers of Catan." Fun game, but Trapper ALWAYS wins and it bugs the crap out of me. One day, Trapper.....one day.
And last but not least, on our way home to Colorado, we stopped in Provo to see Mari and Josh. I hadn't seen Mari since her wedding last year in July. And she'd never met Jackson, so it was crucial that we see her. We had to wait in Provo for an hour for them to get out of church, but it was worth it. We ate lunch with them and hung out for a couple of hours. It was really good to see them again.
