Bears Inn Bed & Breakfast

Well, we are here in Evergreen Colorado at the Bears Inn Bed & Breakfast for our 3rd Wedding anniversary. YEEHAW! No baby, no interruptions, nothing. *Sigh* Nothing but the cool mountain air and Scotty the Scottish Terrier dog...the owner's dog. As soon as we came in, the owner (Vicki) welcomed us in and gave us the grand tour which includes a BEAUTIFUL breakfast room, where we'll be sitting and mingling with other guests tomorrow morning. The hot tub outside which we can access whenever we like. I brought my bathing suit, but I'm don't think I'm quite confident enough to sport the post-baby bod. It just isn't up to my standards yet. haha Then she showed us a few rooms and gave us the choice to pick one. We had a room picked out already, but apparently, some people wanted to be moved because of construction going on just outside, so they took our room. So now we are in the Safari room. It's pretty sweet. To be honest, I think it'd be the room I'd want anyway if I had a choice of any room in the building. I will post pictures as soon as we get home. We won't be back until Sunday, so just imagine if you will. : ) The best part about the room, though, is the patio out back. I'm sitting out here right now typing to you all. It's quiet and quaint and ADORABLE. Don't worry, I took a BUNCH of pictures.
Tonight we're going to eat out somewhere and just enjoy the evening together. And I plan on sleeping in. OH yeah baby! We do kind of miss Jackson already, but it's not severe yet. He's so little right now that when we left Sally's house (where we dropped him off), and we said bye to him, he didn't even look up. He was so enthralled with this book about tractors. It was in the shape of a tractor with plastic wheels on it. He really liked those tires. That's all boy for ya.
Tomorrow, we head out to Denver to the Capital Hill Mansion. Another bed and breakfast. Then in the afternoon, I'm getting my hair cut and re-highlighted. Hopefully it turns out good. Eek! This is the first time I've had anyone do my hair that wasn't my sister...well since I've been in college.
Okay! Well, I'll keep you posted on our trip!! It's been SUPER so far. And if anyone is going out to bed and breakfast, I recommend the Bears Inn. I'm sad we'll only be here for one night.
