Immunization shots!

We hate those shots at the doctor's office. He used to be very tough about it all, but now he's extremely aware of what's going on, so he wreaked havoc on us all. Just kidding. He turned purple and just screamed his little lungs out when they gave him the first shot. It was hard watching him cry like that. I wanted to cry right along with him. Poor little guy. But, for all that suffering, they gave him some cool band-aids. Shrek and ice cream and candy on his left leg (in the picture) and Nascar on the right. They're still pretty sore, so everytime we pick him up, he starts whining.

Those are some super cool band-aids. But isn't it sad that he really is still too young to appreciate the cool band-aids yet!?! And did I spot something going on with Trapper's face? Josh will be thrilled and so proud of his bro!

Thanks for stopping by our blog! :) My, Jackson is a cutie!! We hate shots, too. Last time we went it was major trauma-- more for Benjamin (who just got one shot) than for Jonathan (who got four). I will never take them to get their shots at the same time again. Best wishes for y'all in Colorado! How exciting!

Poor kid! I remember one time going with mom to take Bobby to get his shots and when he was done the nurse looked at me and said "your turn." I've never forgiven mom for tricking me into going...but, she wouldn't have gotten me in there if she had told be beforehand.

Poor Jackson. I use a trick I learned from my mom: give him tylenol an hour or so before the appointmen. Then keep the tylenol/ibuprofen coming for the next couple of days. It sure makes a difference.
