the good ol' workout buddies

So since having a baby, I'm looking forward to losing the weight and shaping my body back into what it used to be called "sexy." psh, yeah right. Well, let's just say "a lot better looking." I've been working on my pilates using Shelly McDonald's "Caribbean Workout--Pilates" and the postnatal ab workout. They're pretty tough, but so far, not much of a difference has been made. I feel the muscles being made, but the fat stays there, so I only end up looking like I'm big
boned. I'm a horrible runner and besides that, I never have the opportunity to even TRY since I don't have a jogging stroller and there's not enough time once Trapper gets home.
So to a make a long story short, I ordered a video that would not only give me a cardio workout and
help me shed the weight, it would also be fun to do. That's why it's a dance video. Some of you will
get a good chuckle out of this and I'm pretty sure I know who, but that doesn't matter because
eventually this little video is going to help me get a hott and smokin' body. haha (We'll see) It's
called Dance off the inches: Hip Hop Party. That's not the right video pic, but it's the same girl.

It came today so I tried it out. Thankfully, it has a "step guide" so you can learn the steps really
slowly, but even doing that I started to work up a sweat! The whole time Jackson was watching me
and smiling at me as if I looked like some fruitcake. Which I probably did. After I got the basic idea
of the steps, I tried the workout. OH MY GOSH. I did three of the workouts which are 10 minutes
each. I'm completely out of shape y'all. Ridiculous! My hair and body were extremely sweaty. And
when I looked at myself in a mirror, my face was BEET RED like I had gotten a sunburn. I'm hoping
that this, along with the pilates, and of course, eating less cake, ice cream and cookies : ( will help
me get to an even better weight than I was before I got pregnant. Anyway, it was fun video and it's a
good thing I can do it in the privacy of my own home. haha
