Today was Jackson's 2 month check up, which means that he got his immunization shots. Poor little guy didn't know what was coming. One minute he was smiling and cooing, the next he was screaming out in pain. Even though he didn't understand me, I told him I'd hold his hand through it. Thankfully, the screaming didn't last long. As soon as I picked him up, he calmed down. I could just sense the gratefulness in his little whimper. What a trooper he was though.
Anyway, little JT weighs 11 lbs. 1 oz. and is 22 in. long now. Some days are better than most, where he'll just smile, play and sleep all day, but there are other days where he'll fuss and fuss and fuss! By the time Trapper gets home I am pooped and tired. I have to go into my room, shut the door and turn on music to drown out the crying.....and then do a bit of crying myself. Last night I wasn't sure what emotion I should let out. As soon as we put Jackson down to sleep, we got ready for bed and on our knees to say prayers. I couldn't help but start goofing around which...when I'm tired and it's late, I get delirious and I start cracking up for no good reason. So there's Trapper waiting to say the prayer and I'm laughing and snorting hysterically. The funny thing is that as I was laughing uncontrollably, I had the sudden urge to just bawl like a baby. I did tear up, but it didn't last thankfully. Days like that I am soooo happy to sleep. And my body says thanks to Jackson today 'cause he slept for 6 hours straight!! Woohoo!!

He is growing so fast! It makes me sad that I will never see him while he is still a tiny baby. And don't you hate the shots!!! I can never actually watch them do it, I just look at Annabelle's sweet face and try not to cry too!!!
